About me

I live in San Francisco with my wife, where we raised two kids. They frequently return.

By day I’m a technologist. I’ve been in the industry for thirty years, since earning my engineering degrees.

I love fiction; it generally helps me understand this world better than nonfiction. When I moved to San Francisco in the 1990s I self-published ANON & other whims, and a kind soul at City Lights Bookstore let me put it on the shelf. It feels good to publish it here.

Given my career, my writing lapsed, but over the last couple of years I completed my first novel, Gangs of San Francisco.
